What Was. What Is. What Will Be.

September 14, 2017

Recently, Executive Director of The Mercy Ministries, Carly Benton, created the following to be shared with churches in and around Toombs County as bulletin inserts.  It is our way of saying "thank you" and filling supporters in on the progress we're making at Mercy in 2017.

We are currently maxed out at about 500 patients, but we're excited to know God is going to send us the Nurse Practitioner and Doctor volunteer providers ASAP!  Just one new NP or DR  ... just one day a month ... would create 192 new patient visits per year!

In the meantime, we're continuing to improve our services to existing patients, and to the community, with our health and dental clinics, health classes, financial classes and our work-readiness classes.

Our ultimate goal is to be a safety net for our patients, and for them not to depend on Mercy's services long-term. So, we're so excited to share we've had 27 patients to "graduate" from their need of Mercy so far in 2017.  This means they have gotten healthy, obtained a job, and/or now have health insurance!

To get a taste of the impact Mercy is having on its patients, and to learn more about the new Mercy Dental Clinic's progress, read below AND follow us on Facebook here.
