Do we really think about ourselves from a higher perspective, as described in Isaiah 57?
We have a Savior, His son, Jesus Christ, who not only lives in High and Heavenly places, but HE CHOOSES TO LIVE WITH US!
Today this scripture played in my mind on repeat:
"I live in a high and holy place, but I live WITH the people who are humble ... "
He doesn't have to live with us.
He chooses to!
In a world where self-esteem is at an all-time low,
In a world where social media likes or career titles tell us our worth,
In a world where a soul mate's love, or lack thereof, determines our value,
In a world where we constantly doubt our ability to be loved, or even just liked ...
Jesus says, "I loved you so much I chose to come down there and die for you, and today, all these years later, I still choose to dwell with you. I don't want to be anywhere else. I want to be the one you turn to when you've made a mistake and want to know how to do life better. I want to be the one you turn to when you have something to celebrate. I want to cry with you when your heart is broken. I want to provide for you when you have a need."
One of the ways Jesus proves His love for each individual human is by using Christians to be His tears, His hugs, His hands, His feet, His reach...
If you're not feeling loved today, it isn't because Jesus doesn't love you. It's because He couldn't find enough caring people to show you His love. However, please never forget, He died on a cross so you could walk in joy, knowing this difficult earthly life is only temporary, and you'll be WITH HIM in His home soon.
When you tap into that joy, it's NOT accepting that this life is going to be bad and you just have to make it till you get get your little soul to Heaven. No!
When you accept that joy, and accept your individual worth in Christ, your perspective changes! It makes you want to LIVE in the here'n'now with expectancy, knowing Jesus will do His best to bring good things your way ... but also that He has a purpose for you ... to be His love poured out to those around you.
Today, you have a lot to learn and a long way to go, but Jesus wants to walk the journey, of learning to love people as He does, with you.
The following 10-minute recording will bless you. Take the time to listen and share with anyone who may be discouraged today!
