Mercy Dental Clinic (MDC) would not be possible were it not for our volunteer dentists, hygienists and dental assistants who come faithfully to bring relief to our patients! This month, we'd especially like to thank Dr. Hugh F. Jordan, DDS of Vidalia for his dedication and support of The Mercy Ministries' mission to PUT GOD'S LOVE IN ACTION!
Jordan was born in Alamo, Georgia, but moved with his family to Vidalia when he was eight-years-old. He grew up to attend Vidalia High School, where he graduated in 1968, and pursued his career by graduating Mercer University in Macon in 1972 and Emory University School of Dentistry in 1976.
Jordan is especially proud of his family. He married his wife, Patrice, a former teacher at both Toombs and Clark county school systems, and together they have two sons, Charlie and Matthew. Charlie is in dental school at Augusta University and Matthew graduated from Georgia Southern University and now attends South University in Savannah.
In his free time Jordan enjoys reading, being involved with his church, attending dental courses in the U.S. and abroad, and jogging with his schnauzer, Scooter.
He said he especially enjoys "helping my patients maintain their dental health as well as get the smmile they have always wanted. I enjoy working with my staff, and how we as a team strive to make every patient to feel relaxed and comfortable."
"I enjoy volunteering at MDC," Jordan added, "because dental health is directly related to achieving the patient's overall health and well being."
And, we at Mercy can't thank you enough, Dr. Jordan, for giving your time and attention to our patients!
"Blessed are the merciful, for they shall be shown mercy." -- Matthew 5:7
