"Grateful, Thankful, Blessed"
We see these words on signs all around now, but do we take the time to truly allow gratitude, thankfulness and blessed assurance fill our hearts and minds with the unfailing love of Jesus Christ?
That sentence alone should spur great faith. The word "unfailing" should fill our hearts with hope never-ending!
The Bible said that darkness in this world would grow with each passing year, BUT He also said that His Healing Glory Light from above would increase all the more! He said, "These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
Last night a godly woman I follow on Instagram, Jenn Johnson of Redding, California's Bethel Church, posted this on Instagram:
I could write a long blog to encourage us all this week.
I could tell you of how God has come through for me personally time and time again.
I could tell you of the patient, Mr. Tony, who came into Mercy and shared his testimony this week of how he has a wife who is bedridden at home, and how he's so incredibly grateful that we at Mercy have loved him and been there for him year after year, even though he was a former convict and a man who had hit rock bottom. With tears in his eyes he said, "I keep thinking TMM is going to let me go and just cut me loose, but y'all don't. Y'all just keep on loving me ... and I thank you."
But, the greatest testament of God's faithfulness, His unfailing love, is this: He who knew no sin became sin, and shed His blood on a cross for you and me, and for our great nation!
On this American Flag Day, may we all be GRATEFUL, THANKFUL, BLESSED!
